ProSouth Spectacular Fallout -- June 7 (2024)

ProSouth Spectacular Fallout -- June 7 (1)

From Larry Goodman:

Spectacular Fallout was quintessential ProSouth livestream TV, the 90 format where ProSouth has often put forth their best stuff.

The mind of that mad genius Ace Haven must have been working overtime this week because this was a great TV show filled with one surprise after another.. A phenomenal amount of ground was covered in a short amount of time. There are now a multitude of irons on the fire.

ProSouth Spectacular Fallout -- June 7 (2)

For the good of the company and the health of the two men involved, Mathias Darkthorne made an impassioned attempt to engineer a truce between Ace Haven and Shean Christopher. Darkthorne gave it his all but Christopher wasn't having it. The King and the usurper of his throne will meet in an Unsanctioned match on June 21.

A segment featuring the Atonement was astonishing, riveting TV, one of the most memorable moments of ProSouth this year. Dameon Ceretone has got be one the most complex and intriguing characters around. Christian Pierce is rising to the occasion.

Five competitors qualified for this year's Gold Rush match, which will be an Unchained match.

A tournament to crown a new number one contender for Ayden Andrews' All-Out Championship got underway.

ProSouth kicked off Pride Month with promos by two members of the Pro South roster publicly announcing their LGBTQ status.

Harley Haven made her first on screen appearance in seven weeks and appears to be cooking something up with Cameron Keast.

June 21 is shaping up as a major show. Along with the unsanctioned match, ProSouth Champion Aaron Dallas announced he was rewarding Kay Jay Impala for his great match last week with a title match on that date.

One of things Ace Haven and Todd Sexton have in common as great bookers is the ability to get the most out of the talent on their roster. That was certainly the case this week.

Wicked Nemesis and Mathias Darkthorne on commentary. The officials were Ft. Worth and big Joe Lincoln. Joseph Void and Katie Lindsey split the ring announcing and rover camera duties 50/50.

Opening with Flashback Friday sponsored by the RobBrod Report -- a highlight package from Spring Spectacular.

(1) All-Out Championship #1 Contender Tournament: Christian Pierce defeated Douglas Sanders in 7:57. They grappled. Pierce tried to intimidate Sanders. Sanders wasn't taking any of his sh*t. Pierce made it personal if it wasn't already. Tempers boiled over into a brawl.Pierce's chops had a lot of mustard on them. So did Sanders' hangman's neckbreaker. Sanders evaded Pierce's flying double knees. His comeback culminated in an elbow drop off the top rope.Pierce got his knees up to block and pinned Sanders with a cravate driver.

Sanders' best ProSouth match. Not surprising Pierce was the opponent. They have history of a sort. The wrestling was snug and intense. The match felt like a real contest. Pierce's finisher looked great.

Dameon Ceretone to the ring, kendo stick in hand. Ceretone said a lot of mistakes were made last week. Pierce called his shot in the name of Atonement (and lost). Ceretone told Pierce if he called his shot, he better not miss. So tonight, we're going to remedy that.

Ceretone pointed at the mat and picked up the kendo stick. Pierce got on his knees and put his bullrope in his mouth as he braced himself for his punishment. Ceretone said the only thing worse than calling your shot and missing is knowing what's coming and not taking care of it. Ceretone told Pierce to take the kendo stick and dropped to his knees in front him. Pierce was stunned. Ceretone told PIerce to give him five shots with the kendo stick. Ceretone said there was no punishment he would hand out that he would not take. He had Jake Franklin beaten last week and he didn't beat him. "Tonight's my punishment. Do it."

Pierce was reluctant but followed orders and gave Ceretone five shots across the back with the kendo stick. Pierce was laying them in. Ceretone was wincing in pain. Ceretone stopped Pierce after the third shot and pulled the straps down. PIerce delivered two more shots with the kendo stick, then threw the stick down and left the ring in torment. The building was dead silient. Ceretone slowly made his way to the back, his back covered in red welts.

An absolutely fantastic segment with great performances by both men. Pierce wasn't playing with that kendo stick. The welts were clearly visible on Ceretone's back.

(2) All-Out Championship #1 Contender Tournament: Brother Azriel defeated Ravenna Vein in 36 seconds. Before the match, Ravenna looked under the ring for the chain she used to beat Tsunami at Spring Spectacular. Tsumami came from the back with said chain balled up on her fist and punched Ravenna in the mouth, then rolled her into the ring. Ravenna told referee Joe she was good to go. Azriel patted Ravenna on the head and gave her the Wood Grain for the three count. The camera cut to Tsunami smiling in the entrance way.

Loved it. Another surprising turn of events. After last week, I didn't think there would be more to come from Tsunami and Ravenna.

Jake Franklin promo Franklin said his match with Ceretone proved he take all the punishment and still find a way to win. Franklin declared himself as an entrant in the All-Out Championship number one contender tournament.

(3) Gold Rush Qualifier: YouTube Champion Caeden Ooten defeated Roma Miller in 5:35.Roma found two babys to snatch up as he made his way to the ring. His streak remains intact. Ooten dismantled Roma with his power game. He used a trio of driving german suplexes to set up his finisher. Roma escaped and dazed Ooten with a pair of superkicks. The dreaded step daddy stomps ensued but Miller got cavalier. Ooten dropped Miller with an enzuigiri, then planted him with Loaded Gun Complex to pick up the win.

A forgone conclusion match, not that there was anything wrong with a dominant win for Ooten. His german suplex is one hell of a move and the enzuigiri was nice addition to his moveset. Miller got a nice comeback towards the end.

Post match, Harley Haven appeared via video. She was standing next to the white board with the cryptic messages that have been appearing each week. "I have a plan, Cam," Harley said, as she held up one of the Kids of Keast masks.

The camera cut back to rattled Caeden Ooten telling Harley "you need to talk to me, don't focus on Cam."

Promo by ProSouth Champion Aaron Dallas AD noted that KayJay Impala took Ayden Andrews to sudden death overtime for the All-Out Championship last week. He may not have won Ayden's title but his performance earned Impala a match with Dallas for the ProSouth Championship on June 21.

Redneck Brawler "Manbearpig" Ryan Anselman video. Manbearpig said he had fun at Spring Spectacular and was honored to serve as the special enforcer for the ProSouth title match. He Brandon Whatley would try to sabotage the match with his lackeys and Anselman laid them out like they were soft. He wasn't going to let anything happen to his boy Aaron Dallas. And after what Whatley did to Ft. Worth, he deserve to lose.

Anselman heard a knock at the door and went to see who was there. He walked outside and got waylaid by Whatley and his nunchucks. Whatley said he knew where to find Anselman because Amy Haven left some paperwork laying around. Anselman knocked Whatley down with a series of punches. Whatley threw dirt in Anselman's face, kicked him in the groin and topped it off by smashing his hand with a shovel. Whatley laughed his evil laugh and said it looked like Anselman wouldn't be doing any more fighting.

Nobody said Anselman was sharpest knife in the drawer. Stopping in midstream to answer the door was dead giveaway as to what was going to happen next. Be that as it may, the unexpected continuation of this feud is a plus.

The second half opened with video highlights from the Ace Haven vs. Shean Christopher Last Man Standing match at Spring Spectacular. The match ended in a no decision as both men fell from the top of entranceway through a stack of tables, leaving neither man able to stand.

Mathias Darkthorne promo. Darkthorne said he was bisexual and a proud member of the LGBTQ community. He was part of the roster and different like everyone at ProSouth. HIs message had always been to be the best, truest version of yourself whoever that may be. When he first came out as non-binary, ProSouth made him feel like he belonged and he was proud to call ProSouth home.

Darkthorne was cut off the by the entrance of Shean Christopher. Shean took the mic from Darkthorne but Ace Haven's music interrupted. before he could get a word out. Ace and Amy Haven joined Christopher and Darkthorne in the ring.

Darkthorne gives Ace Haven and Shean Christopher an ass chewing. Darkthorne stepped in between them and he was pissed. He'd watched them rip each other apart. His mission was to make ProSouth better. The best Shean was not the one too broken to step foot in the ring. The best version of Ace not the one that was dead for the fourth, fifth, sixth time. The best version of ProSouth had both of them. They were all about their egos, and their egos were going to drive this place into the ground. "Take it down a notch...Don't make me commentate over the death of ProSouth."

An incedible promo that felt as real as real gets. Darkthorne was passion personified. He seamlessly blended the message in his speech about being LGTBQ into his lecture to Ace and Shean.

Ace said he never wanted to do this thing with Christopher. Shean pushed him into it and Shean knew it. Ace stood by what he said from day one -- he loved Shean like his own flesh and blood. Mathias was right. It didn't have to be this way. Ace offered a truce. They would go their separate ways. Maybe he had sold Shean short, and maybe Shean was better than ever gave him credit for being. Ace extended his hand. They were taking years off their careers and more importantly, years off their lives. Wicked called Ace's words the closest thing to apology you're ever going to get from a Haven.

Christopher said he loved every minute of last week because Ace proved him wrong. He had called Ace old and weak and accused him of hiding behind the Chosen Ones and was not who he said he was, but last week, Ace proved he was more than the King of the South. By the same token, he proved Ace wrong. Ace had called him a petulant child and a lapdog. He was Lord of Flies. He had changed and was way better than Ace ever gave him credit for. No way in hell would he ever shake Ace's hand. He didn't need Ace's praise or approval or some torch to be passed. "You know what I will do? I will walk through hell one more time with you!" Shean stormed to the back.

An epic segment. I should know better but they got me. Floating the idea of a truce made too much sense after last week and these are not sensible people. Their emotions and egos have driven them to the edge of irrationality.

Amy said she didn't know what type of match they thought they were going to have but neither of them were medically cleared and it wasn't going to happen. Ace said it was going to happen because if Shean wanted to be his successor, he was going to have to kill him. They would do it unsanctioned in two weeks because they both needed closure.

Is closure in the realm of possibility?

ProSouth ring announcer and camerawoman Katie Lindsey introduced herself and identified as a lesbian. One of the things she appreciated about the ProSouth environment was being able exactly who she was without fear of judgment. The shot dissolved to applause for Katie introducing the next match...

(4) Gold Rush Qualifier Match: Cameron Keast defeated Alexander Lincoln in 6:00. Former New Era Tag Team Champions opposing each other. Super pandering babyface Keast was in his glory. Lincoln looked like a giant by comparison. Wicked noted Keast was wearing his stabbing gloves. The highlight move was Lincoln countering Keast's tilt-a-whirl headscissors with a sidewalk slam. Keast fought up from the bottom to pin Alexander with a Dramatic Irony. Wicked said one of Lincoln's teeth was lying on the mat.

A sloppy match. Low point of the show. Lincoln stands out due to his size but needs more color in his character and cleaner execution.

Another video aired depicting words on the white board. The camera focused in on the words "Cam Wins". The camera cut to Keast looking perplexed by what he had just seen.

(5) Serpent Ninja Academy (Hakeem Young & Julius Pryor) defeated Wright Cats (Saul Wright & Bobcast) in a non-title eliminator match (8:52). All three member of SNA qualified for the Gold Rush Unchained match.

Saul asked for a title match. Hakeem in Eddie Jones tribute mode with his number 6 Lakers jersey, said it look like Saul was suffering from erectile dysfuncton last week when SNA put them down. A title match was not happening but Hakeem offered up this stip -- a title match for Wright Cats if they won, but if they lost, all three of SNA got spots in the Gold Rush match. Saul said you're on.

Quite audacious of Saul to propose such a monumental stipulation without consulting Commissioner Amy.

Bobcat with the waffle stomp into a northern lights suplex for two on Pyror. Saul in with a middle finger for Hakeem. Bobcat tagged and surprised Pryor with a top rope clothesline. Pryor bulled Bobcat into his corner for a tag to Hakeem. Serpent Ninjas cuts the ring in half. Bobcat got a reverse roll up near fall and clothesline for a double down. Saul ran wild with the hot tag. His exploder suplex sent Pryor to the outside. Bobcat did a tope that pretty much bounced his head on the barricade. Saul got distracted by what Hakeem was doing to Bobcat and fell victim to Pryor's Shaolin fist drop from the top.

They totally redeemed themselves from their subpar match at Spring Spectacular. Hakeem demonstrated the ability to be the lead guy in a main event spot.

Hakeem forearmed the hell out of the back of Saul's head after the match and the champions stood over him with all their gold to close the show.
