Wife had an accident due to a medical event. NY DMV suspended her license until she was cleared by a Medical Doctor. Once cleared and licence restored we paid for another 12 month coverage. We received a notification that because her license was suspended they don't cover when that happens. She NEVER drove while suspended and was 100% legal when they canceled our insurance.I contacted our agent and she said that we signed a paper that told us they didn't insure suspended license. I asked to see the so called agreement and one was never produced. This insurance co. is terrible!! STAY AWAY!!!!!

NYCM helps you sign up, sends the binder in timely manner. Calls to welcome you, calls again to followup on same questions you've already answered, 2 days later calls to say you can't be covered based on the breed of dog you have. I have had this dog for 5 years and wouldn't trade him for nothing. He's a part of our family. I will never recommend anyone be insured with them! 4weeks of wasted time....

This is a stay away from insurance company it is the most sued company in ny,its ratings are less then 2.2 which is the worst and if you need them call your lawyer first because you will need one

NYCM offered many discounts for multiple cars, drivers (even young drivers at a great rate) and also home insurance for which I am covered by. The website has easy navigation and allows for payments online, also there are many great options available for making your car insurance more affordable.

While I was living in New York, I applied for car insurance with NYCM. The application process was quick and easy and I was approved the same day. The rates were unbelievable. To this day, I still have not found a better deal on car insurance. I paid 42.00 a month and that was when I was 18 and had an accident on my record. The policy was extremely fair for the price I paid. When push came to shove, they were there for me when I needed them. I was in a car accident in 2009 that I was almost positive would cause my rates to go sky high. They took care of my car and the other lady’s car with no questions asked, and since the accident wasn't technically my fault, my premium didn't go up. I was very satisfied with their services. Highly recommended.

New York Central Mutual is a solid car insurance option. Rates are reasonable. I added a third vehicle to our policy last year and only pay $40 a month. The process to add another vehicle to the policy is easy and you can go pick up your new cards / information on the same day. I was in one accident - deer collision - under New York Central Mutual's coverage. The process was relatively smooth: call them, they tell you to find an auto body shop of your choice. The longest part of the process was waiting for an adjuster to come and look at the car. For some reason, the adjuster lived over 100 miles from the local area; this delayed the process some. Overall, the company is easy to work with and provides a good service.
